About the Project
BUSCARS is a digital automobile marketplace built for the Uruguayan market in partnership with ASCOMA, one of the country's leading car dealer associations. The platform enables dealers to list inventory and buyers to discover, compare, and purchase vehicles through a modern, trust-forward experience. With support for multiple vehicle categories, advanced filtering, a vehicle comparison tool, and integrated dealer verification, BUSCARS brings transparency and efficiency to Uruguay's automotive market.
The Challenge
Uruguay's car market relied heavily on fragmented classifieds and in-person dealership visits, making it difficult for buyers to compare options and for dealers to reach their audience effectively. The ASCOMA association needed a centralized, trustworthy marketplace that could launch quickly to demonstrate viability for fundraising purposes. The timeline was extremely aggressive — a fully functional demo was needed in just three weeks to secure investor confidence and hit fundraising targets. The platform needed to handle multiple vehicle categories (hatchback, sedan, SUV, convertible, coupe, pickup), advanced search with brand/model filters, and a comparison tool — all while conveying trust through the ASCOMA partnership branding.
Our Approach
We adopted a rapid-delivery approach, building the marketplace on a modern JAMstack architecture for speed and SEO performance. The frontend was developed with Next.js for server-side rendering and instant page loads, while a lightweight Go backend with PocketBase provided the API and admin dashboard with minimal setup overhead. Vehicle data ingestion was automated from dealer inventory systems, and a real-time comparison engine was built to let buyers evaluate vehicles side-by-side across specs, pricing, and dealer reputation. The ASCOMA trust badge was integrated throughout the buying flow to reinforce security. AWS infrastructure ensured reliability from day one.
